Broken Coast received its first operational license on March 14, 2014, under the Marijuana for Medical Purposes Regulations (MMPR) Canada. They recently renewed their license for an 18-month period, indicating Health Canada’s confidence in the firm’s cleantech production methods.

On May 15, 2017, Broken Coast entered into a partnership with Cannabis Wheaton Income Corp. (CW) whereby CW will help BCC develop new facilities which will boost its production capacity to 100,000 sq. ft. CW invests in cannabis companies that are either licensed or awaiting approval from Health Canada and it does not produce cannabis itself.
